The Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite seems to be on its way, as more details about the device just appeared. This information comes from Max Weinbach, a well-known tipster.

Quite a few Samsung Galaxy Note Lite details have surfaced

He shared quite a few tidbits about this smartphone. Mr. Weinbach refers to the device as the Galaxy Fold Lite 4G, which means that 5G connectivity will not be included. That was to be expected.

The source notes that the device will offer 256GB of internal storage, and arrive in two color options. Those color options will be Mirror Black and Mirror Purple. If that sounds familiar, that's because the Galaxy Z Flip is offered in those colors already.

This phone's display will not have a layer of UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) on top of it. That means that it will be a regular plastic cover on top of it, and that it will scratch like crazy, probably like the original Galaxy Fold.

Mr. Weinbach says that the phone will be equipped with a mix of 2018/19/20 parts. So, this will be some sort of a hybrid smartphone in terms of its internals.

On the outside, you can expect a smaller display. Smaller like the Galaxy Z Flip's display, not like the Galaxy Fold's. Well, not exactly like that display, but similar to it.

The leaked Galaxy Fold Lite details also reveal that it will be available internationally. It will be built out of aluminum and glass, and its codename is 'Winner2'.

The device is expected to cost $1,099

The device is expected to cost $1,099. Now, when it comes to its SoC, Mr. Weinbach says that it will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 865. He says that he's not entirely sure, though.

He did find the device in the kernel sources of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, so that means they're building the software for the Snapdragon 865. In retrospect, that should mean it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865.

The Snapdragon 865 does come bundled with the Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity, though. Shouldn't that mean that the Galaxy Fold Lite will offer 5G? Well, not according to the source.

Even Mr. Weinbach notes that this information is not entirely reliable, and that it could change moving forward. So, take this information with a grain of salt.

We do not know when will the Galaxy Fold Lite arrive. The source did not share any information about that, but if Samsung plans on launching this phone, it will do so in the coming months, for sure.
