Global announcement is coming soon
Xiaomi is expected to announce a global variant of MIUI 12 in the near future. It will mostly be the same as the Chinese one, but without some of its China-specific features.
Xiaomi did boost its Android OS / skin this time around, as MIUI 12 is more refined than its predecessor. It comes with completely revamped navigation gestures, new privacy features, smart dark mode, interesting live wallpapers, revamped animations, and so on.
The company’s navigation gestures are now much more similar to default Android 10 navigation gestures. The company also improved its multi-window mode, and a picture-in-picture feature is here.
