Earlier this month, Ross Young, a well-known display analyst, shared some Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 information. Well, Mr. Young is now back with even more information, as he just shared the Galaxy Fold 2 camera and pricing details.
Analyst shares Galaxy Fold 2 camera and pricing information
Mr. Young shared the information via his Twitter handle. He says that the phone will feature three cameras on the back, including 12, 16, and 64-megapixel camera sensors. Dual optical image stabilization will also be included.
Do note that he did not share the exact sensor or lens information, though. Mr. Young says that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will cost between $1,780 and $1,980. He actually believes that the phone will cost $100 less than last year.
If that ends up being the case, it will fly under $1,900. The exact price is still unknown, but at least we can expect it to be a bit more affordable than its predecessor.
Ross Young once again reaffirmed that the device will include the S Pen. He mentioned it earlier this month, and now said it once again. The Galaxy Fold 2 will also support 5G.
The last piece of information the source shared has to do with the phone’s launch date. He believes that the phone will become official alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series. He also expects that shipments will commence in September.
There you go, the Galaxy Fold 2 camera and pricing information. That is all the information that Mr. Young shared this time around, but he did offer some display info earlier this month.
Mr. Young did share some display information earlier this month
Mr. Young said that the phone’s front display will measure 6.23-inch. It will be an LPTS panel, with 60Hz refresh rate, and a display hole. The main display will measure 7.59 inches, and it will be a fullHD+ LTPO panel with 120Hz refresh rate.
So, the Galaxy Fold 2 will include a much larger display on the front than its predecessor. That, at the same time, means that its bezels will be much thinner this time around.
The phone will include a display camera hole on both of its display. Which is certainly a better solution than huge bezels on the outer display, and a huge display notch on the inner display.
The Galaxy Fold 2 is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, at least in the tech community. This will probably be one of the most exciting phones of 2020, simply because it’s a foldable phone, and because it will look much better than its predecessor.
Samsung already released one foldable smartphone this year, the Galaxy Z Flip. That device is much smaller than the Galaxy Fold, it’s essentially a smartphone that folds, not a tablet that folds.
