DOOGEE has announced that its S95 series of rugged modular smartphones is now available for purchase. This series consists out of two devices, the DOOGEE S95 and S95 Pro, both of which are available to purchase as we speak.
The only difference between the two devices can be found in the RAM and storage departments. The DOOGEE S95 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 'Pro' model, on the other hand, comes with either 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The DOOGEE S95 is now available for purchase, and it comes in three flavors
The DOOGEE S95 is priced at $299.99 as we speak. The two 'Pro' models are priced at $359.99 and $399.99. It is worth noting that all three variants will be discounted starting on March 15.
The company said that between March 15 and 16 will offer a $30 discount via the 'DGS9530OFF' coupon code. We're not sure if the coupon code will apply to all models, but it should. Do note that this applies to the first 500 units only, though.
All three of these phones are fueled by the Helio P90 64-bit octa-core processor. All of them are MIL-STD-810G and IP68/IP69K certified. That means that they're not only tough and can handle drops, but are also both water and dust resistant.
You can drop the DOOGEE S95 from up to 1.2m onto hard surfaces without a problem. The company also says that the phone can survive underwater (up to 3m) for 4 hours.
A 6.3-inch fullHD+ display is included on all phones, and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on these phones, while all of them sport a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
We're looking at a regular capacitive fingerprint scanner here, and the company claims it can unlock the device in 0.1 seconds after you place your finger on it.
A 5,150mAh battery is included in the package
All three phones have LPDDR4X RAM on the inside, along with UFS 2.0 flash storage. A 5,150mAh battery is also included in the package, and it supports 10W wireless charging.
One 48-megapixel, and two 8-megapixel cameras can be found on the back of this phone. The main camera includes a Sony IMX582 sensor on the inside.
A 16-megapixel camera is located on the front side of the DOOGEE S95. That camera comes with a lens that offers an 80-degree wide-angle view.
In case you're wondering why is this phone referred to as 'modular', well, some modules are available for it. The company offers two modules at the moment, a Powerbank Module, and a HiFi Speaker Module. The Powerbank Module brings an extra 3,500mAh battery to the table, while the HiFi Speaker Module can get a 6W speaker to this phone.
