OnePlus May Finally Announce A Power Bank, Alongside The OnePlus 8

It seems like OnePlus may finally announce a power bank. That has been suggested by the company’s co-founder, Carl Pei. Mr. Pei shared a rather interesting tweet which makes us all suggest that such a product is on the way.

Carl Pei tweeted out “RT if you'd like a fast charging power bank”, which seems like he’s hyping up an upcoming product. Some of you may think this is just his way of collecting info, but based on the way OnePlus does marketing, and some previous product, we believe that a power bank is coming.

The very first OnePlus power bank may arrive alongside the OnePlus 8

Based on the timing of this tweet, that power bank may launch alongside the company’s upcoming flagships. We’re talking about the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, of course.

Those two phones were originally expected to arrive in May, but it seems like they’ll launch sooner than that. Ishan Agarwal, a well-known tipster, suggested recently that the OnePlus 8 series will launch in late March or early April.

That seems to be right, as the two devices started leaking out last year. OnePlus had already announced its QHD+ 120Hz display which will be included in the OnePlus 8 Pro, and the company’s marketing machine is already moving.

OnePlus’ consumers have been waiting for the company to announce a power bank for quite some time now. Carl Pei clearly suggested that the company’s power bank will support fast charging. We’re presuming that he means Warp Charge, as that power bank is supposed to be able to fast-charge OnePlus’ handsets.

This power bank will support Warp Charge charging

It remains to be seen how fast will its charging be, though. If it’s anything close to what Warp Charge can do in general, those are great news, as it will be able to recharge your phone in no time.

We’re not sure what will this power bank look like, nor what battery capacity will be included. It is even possible that OnePlus will announce several different power banks, though that’s not as likely.

We’re almost certain that this product will become official alongside the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro in the near future. In any case, OnePlus may reveal more info in the near future, before the launch.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will both be made out of metal and glass. The two devices will include a display camera hole in the top-left corner, and will ship with Android 10 out of the box.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to feature a display with a higher resolution. Both phones will include 120Hz panels, though. You can also expect to get plenty of RAM here, and UFS 3.0 flash storage.

The Snapdragon 865 will fuel both of these smartphones, and the ‘Pro’ model will be larger than the regular variant.
