The OnePlus 8 has allegedly surfaced on Geekbench. The device has surfaced under a codename, it seems. The ‘OnePlus GALILEI IN2025’ has been spotted on the benchmarking platform.

Geekbench confirms that the OnePlus 8 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865

This phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 865, which points towards the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro. Well, the phone has 8GB of RAM, so we’d say this is probably the regular model.

This listing also confirms that Android 10 is running on the phone. That is pretty much all the spec info that was shared. Geekbench doesn’t really share all that much specs in general.

This listing surfaced on February 12, so it popped up yesterday. The device that surfaced managed to score 4,276 points in the single-core test on Geekbench. It scored 12,541 in the multi-core test.

The single-core results are actually in line with the Snapdragon 855, but the multi-core score is impressive. Do note that this is probably just a test unit, so these scores may not be accurate at all. That is pretty much all the OnePlus 8 info that Geekbench shared.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are actually expected to launch sooner than you may think. The two devices were originally expected to arrive in May, but a tipster recently suggested that they’re coming sooner than that.

A tipster suggested that the company’s flagships will arrive in late March / early April

Ishan Agarwal tweeted out that the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will launch in late March or early April. That is not much of a surprise if we consider how early these two phones started popping up.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro started leaking at the end of last year, pretty much. OnePlus is also expected to announce the OnePlus 8 Lite at some point, but we’re not sure if it’s coming alongside the two flagships, or not.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will both be made out of metal and glass. Both phones will include a display camera hole in the top-left corner, and both will offer curved displays.

Both phones are expected to include a proper IP rating for water and dust resistance this time around. At least the ‘Pro’ model is expected to ship with wireless charging, but in the end, they both could.

Both smartphones will sport 120Hz displays. OnePlus already announced its QHD+ 120Hz display for the OnePlus 8 Pro. The OnePlus 8 could sport a fullHD+ iteration with 120Hz refresh rate.

OnePlus will probably start releasing official teasers in the near future, if it plans to release these two phones in late March / early April. So, stay tuned for that.
