Black Friday is a great time to pick up a new TV thanks to all the deals that are now in effect. If you’re in the market for a Sony TV running on Android TV then the 55 inch X950G series is a good buy right now.
In general, all of the X950G series are 4K HDR TV that draw on Sony’s X1 Ultimate processor. These are LED TVs, designed to meet the viewing demands of many, but at a price that’s more accessible to even more people.
In addition, this is a smart TV. In fact, it is one that runs on Android TV. This is Google’s own TV-optimized platform which means you get easy access to the Google Play Store.
This also means you don’t have to worry about picking up a separate set-top box. Most of the major streaming and TV apps are available to download directly on this TV through the Android TV interface.
Android TV also comes with Google Assistant out of the box making it easy to control the interface, or any other Google Assistant compatible devices in the home just by using voice commands.
If you’re more invested in Amazon’s ecosystem, then not to worry. This TV also works just as well with Alexa.
Here’s the deal
The 55 inch model from the Sony X950G series can now be picked up for just $998 from Amazon.
This TV originally went on sale for $1,399 in the U.S. although it has been readily available through a variety of retailers for around $1200 recently.
However, now it has since a further $200 price drop bringing the current total down below the $1000 marker.
For a TV like this, from Sony, and in this size, this is a great price. It is actually the lowest price Amazon has sold this TV at since launch.
