The Ulefone Armor 3W and Armor 3WT were introduced weeks ago, and the company is still promoting them. The last piece of promotion material for these two rugged phones comes in the form of a YouTube video. This time around, Ulefone decided to present various tools that come pre-installed on the Ulefone Armor 3W smartphones.
The name of this video is “Ulefone Armor 3W/3WT Outdoor Toolbox Testing”. There is a good reason for that. There is an app on the phone called “Toolbox”, and once you launch it, you’ll be presented with a number of tools to check out.
Ulefone Armor 3W smartphones ship with 12 ‘tools’
To be exact, Ulefone pre-installed 12 different tools that you may find handy. Those tools include: Sound Meter, Compass, Flashlight, Bubble Level, Pic Hanging, HeartRate, Height Measure, Magnifier, Alarm, Plumb Bob, Protractor, and Pressure.
In this video, Ulefone demos most of those tools, to show you what they’re about. The first one is called “Sound Meter”, and it can essentially measure noise levels at a specific place. You can, for example, step out of your house / apartment, and fire it up to measure noise levels in your neighborhood.
You can use “Bubble Level” to see how flat a surface is, if that is something you need. Protractor works like your regular, physical protractor, but you have it on your phone’s display.
The “Magnifier” tool is kind of self-explanatory, but it will allow you to magnify an image, text, and so on. You can do the same thing with your camera app, and digital zoom, but this app has been created especially for that purpose.
If you need a quick tool to measure your height, or a height of a different person / object, you have that here. It requires quick calibration when you launch it, but once you do that, you’re good to go.
“Flashlight”, as you probably guessed it, fires up the phone’s LED light on the back. The “Alarm” tool can send out SOS signals using your phone’s flashlight. That is probably not something you’ll ever use, probably, but if you ever end up needing it, you’ll be glad it’s there. The same can be said for the phone’s “Compass” tool as well.
These two devices are rugged phones with huge batteries
The Ulefone Armor 3W and 3WT are both rugged phones. These two phones are almost identical. The only difference between them comes to walkie-talkie functionality. The Armor 3WT comes with a detachable antenna and some additional software which makes walkie-talkie functionality possible.
Both of these phones do look like rugged phones, and a single camera on the back. Both are fueled by the Helio P70, and ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
These two devices come with IP68/IP69K certifications for water and dust resistance. A 10,300mAh battery is also included in the package, the same goes for 6GB of RAM. The Ulefone Armor 3W and 3WT each feature a 5.7-inch fullHD+ display, and a 21-megapixel camera on the back. The two devices are available in Black and Orange color variants.
These two phones are available from AliExpress for $239.99 and $280.49, respectively. Links are included down below.
