OnePlus has announced that a new update is hitting the OnePlus 7T series. OxygenOS 10.0.4 has started rolling out for the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition.

This is not the first update for the OnePlus 7T series

This is not the first update for the OnePlus 7T series of devices, though. The OnePlus 7T Pro started receiving OxygenOS 10.0.1 about a week ago, along with the McLaren Edition of the device. The OnePlus 7T got its first update at the end of September, even before the 7T Pro was announced.

OxygenOS 10.0.4 is not a huge update, but it does quite a few optimizations

OxygenOS 10.0.4 is not a huge update for the OnePlus 7T series. This update is all about optimizations, really, and the changelog is not large either.

This update optimizes translation accuracy on the OnePlus 7T series of devices. On top of that, it optimizes overall communication performance (network, phone calls, and mobile data).

OxygenOS 10.0.4 brings general bug fixes and improvements to the OnePlus 7T series, while it also carries some optimizations for the front-facing camera on those devices.

OnePlus says that it optimized the quality of the front camera when it comes to low light photography. The selfie camera on the OnePlus 7T series should perform better at nighttime now.

If you're an Indian user, there is one specific change for you included here. The company has added Cloud Service for the Gallery application for Indian users only.

OxygenOS 10.0.4 is rolling out to all unlocked OnePlus 7T series devices

This update has started rolling out to everyone, but do note that we're looking at a gradual rollout here. It will take several days for some of you to get this update, even up to a week. If OnePlus stumbles upon some serious bugs, it will stop rolling out the update, as per usual.

The OnePlus 7T was originally announced on September 26 in India and the US. Its global launch followed on October 10, when the OnePlus 7T Pro and 7T Pro McLaren Edition launched as well.

The OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are now available to purchase in all those regions. The McLaren Edition of the 7T Pro will become available at the beginning of November.

All three devices are fueled by the same processor, the Snapdragon 855 Plus. Android 10 comes pre-installed on all three phones, while all three of them have 90Hz Fluid AMOLED displays.

The OnePlus 7T's display is flat and 1080p in resolution. The other two panels are curved, and we're looking at a QHD+ resolution. The OnePlus 7T Pro phones also come with a slightly larger display, and a larger battery as well.
