Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo NEX 3 5G will become official on September 16. The company confirmed that via its official Weibo (Chinese social media) account quite recently.
In addition to that, Vivo released a couple of design posters of the device. By doing that, the company more or less confirmed the phone's design, at least partially.
"Waterfall Display" is included
You can clearly see the phone's Waterfall Display here, though these renders don't show anything we haven't seen before.
Mrwhosetheboss YouTube channel shared an exclusive preview of the Vivo NEX 3 5G quite recently. The company provided that channel with a sample of the Vivo NEX 3 5G, and that video will give you a far better look at the phone itself.
The Vivo NEX 3 5G is made out of metal and glass, though its body is covered mostly in glass. Its display covers most of the phone's sides as well, so holding this phone will be quite interesting.
This smartphone has an extremely high screen-to-body ratio, probably the highest we've seen yet. A Type-C USB port will be placed on the bottom of the phone, along with a speaker grille.
Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB of RAM & extremely fast charging
This smartphone is expected to feature a 6.89-inch fullHD+ (2256 x 1080) AMOLED display. That spec detail has been revealed by a TENAA (China's equivalent to the FCC) listing quite recently.
The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus 64-bit octa-core processor. This is the most powerful SoC Qualcomm has to offer at this very moment.
The phone will arrive in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, while it will ship in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants. The Snapdragon X50 chip will be a part of the offering in order to enable 5G connectivity.
A 64-megapixel camera will sit on the back of this phone, as its main camera. In addition to that, two 13-megapixel cameras are expected to be included on its back. A 16-megapixel camera, on the other hand, will sit on the front.
A 4,4100mAh battery is expected to be included in this phone, with extremely fast charging. The device will include two SIM card slots, and it will measure 167.44 x 76.14 x 9.4mm.
The phone will weigh 218.5 grams, so it won't exactly be the lightest flagship around. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on this device, along with Vivo's very own Android UI. That is pretty much all the info that we have at this very moment. The phone's launch is less than two weeks away at this point, and it's worth saying it will land in China first.
