Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G Hailed As Most Popular 5G Phone In The U.S.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus Review AM AH 1 7

BayStreet Research claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G is Verizon’s best selling 5G handset. Per the firm, the handset accounted for one-third of all Galaxy Note Verizon sales last month. Moreover, it also reportedly surpassed the sales of all 5G phones offered by any U.S. carrier in August.

Currently, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus with support for the next generation of cellular data transmission is exclusive to Verizon. The phone went on sale on August 23 and within 9 days, it managed to rack up 40,000 sales.

While this may not sound like a lot, it’s actually an impressive number for a phone offering the next generation of wireless connectivity. The research firm partially attributes the market response to the limited availability of the regular Note 10 Plus.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G Sales Expected To Increase In September

Researchers expect the numbers to grow even more this month. However, thereafter they will likely stabilize at 30,000 units for the rest of the year. At Verizon, the 5G variant of the Note 10 Plus costs, $1,299, which is anything but cheap.

However, apparently this works for both Verizon subscribers and Note customers as the demographic doesn’t mind pricey phones.

BayStreet Research’s principal analyst Cliff Maldonado says that Note users want the best in technology, which explains the strong demand for Samsung’s latest 5G handset. After all, most phones being sold in the U.S. still come with 4G connectivity

Only a few support the next generation of telecommunication technology, including Samsung’s own Galaxy S10 5G, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, and LG V50 ThinQ 5G.

And just like the Note users don’t compromise on technology, Verizon subscribers don’t hold back when it comes to expensive phones, unlike T-Mobile’s, says Maldonado.

He also points out that 36-month financing for the Note 10 Plus 5G is available from Verizon. However, this isn’t considered the primary reason why the demand for the phone is high.

What it does show though is that the carrier is serious about booting the sales of 5G handsets. Once the exclusivity period with Verizon expires, the 5G variant of the Note 10 Plus will also come to Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile. This will likely boost the sales even further, as the previously mentioned estimates are supposedly for Verizon.

5G Connectivity Is Still Not Readily Available

The Galaxy Note Plus 10 5G is the most specced-out of the Note 10 family. It sports a 6.8-inch pinhole AMOLED panel with a resolution of 3,040×1,440 pixels.

Depending on the region you live in, the Note 10 Plus supporting the next generation of wireless data is underpinned by the Snapdragon 855 or the Exynos 9825 chipset. The phone features a quad camera set up on the back which currently tops DxOMark’s ranking.

Keeping the lights on is a 4,300 mAh battery. And of course, the Bluetooth enabled S Pen also comes with it. As good as the phone sounds, it’s worth remembering that 5G connectivity is still limited. Thus, if the network has not gone live where you live yet, it might be a better idea to save some bucks and settle for the regular Note Plus 10.
