BRAVEN's New Floating Bluetooth Speakers Start At Just $40

BRAVEN has just announced a new line of shockproof and waterproof Bluetooth speakers. The ZAGG-owned company's all-new BRV speaker collection includes four models at various price points.

The BRV-XXL/2, BRV-XL, BRV-X/2, and BRV-MINI Bluetooth speakers are priced at $400, $200, $100, and $40, respectively. All of these speakers are now available for purchase at

The new BRAVEN Bluetooth speakers are built with durability and adventure in mind. Featuring durable, shockproof, and waterproof construction, BRAVEN promises the speakers to deliver crisp sound even in the harshest of environmental conditions, though there is some variety in what each of them can handle.

BRAVEN's new speaker lineup is led by the $400-priced BRV-XXL/2. This rugged 100W speaker can pair with up to 100 secondary speakers simultaneously. The speaker features four full-range HD drivers and a down-firing subwoofer, delivering a fully immersive 360-degree sound. It has an IPX5 waterproof rating to withstand wet environments.

BRAVEN promises a battery life of up to 18 hours in the new speaker. There's also a USB port to charge the phone that's supplying the music. Other features include an integrated handle and shoulder strap, a mobile stand, integrated magnetic bottle opener, adjustable EQ (bass and treble), speakerphone, and microphone input.

The BRAVEN BRV-XXL/2 Bluetooth speaker is available in black color.

The BRV-XL comes in at half the price of BRV-XXL/2 and offers a 40W output with tweeters and full-range drivers. It comes with the ability to pair with another BRV-XL for wireless stereo audio. Battery life drops to 16 hours, but it retains the IPX5 waterproof rating. You also get USB charge out, integrated bottle opener, carrying handle and strap, smartphone assistant access, and speakerphone as additional features. As BRAVEN puts it, the BRV-XL is designed to survive drops from the back of a tailgate or down a hillside, thus justifying its $200 price tag. The new speaker comes in black and gray color options.

While the two models above can withstand some of the toughest physical blows, this more affordable BRAVEN speaker is better suited for pool-side parties. Not only it features a superior IPX7 waterproof rating, but it can float as well. And even if it somehow submerges under the waves, it can survive for up to 30 minutes in one meter deep water.

This $100-priced speaker features full-range drivers and passive radiators offering a 20W output. The speaker charges via a USB-C port and offers up to 18 hours of playtime. You also get wireless stereo pairing between two BRV-X/2 speakers. Additional features include USB charge out, carrying strap, smartphone assistant access, and speakerphone. The BRV-X/2 comes in black, gray, blue, and red color variants.

The most affordable of the lot, BRV-MINI is also the company's smallest speaker to date. It has the same IPX7 waterproof rating and floating capabilities as the BRV-X/2 and features full-range drivers and passive radiators offering a 5W output. You also get wireless stereo pairing between two BRV-MINI's, along with 12 hours of battery life, an integrated lanyard, USB-C charging port, smartphone assistant access, and speakerphone. This $40 speaker is available in black, gray, blue and red colors.
