ASUS has scored partnerships with Capcom and others for the ROG Phone series of devices.
The Taiwanese company officially announced the new set of deals today during its IFA press conference. Boasting that it would enhance the mobile gaming experience, the deals will add special game content for device owners.
Specifically, owners of both the ASUS ROG Phone and ROG Phone II will notice early game access and specially optimized game experiences, depending on the developer.
Capcom is merely the most recognizable developer
Capcom is a household name that has been making video games for decades. It's not the only developer ASUS has deals with though. Madfinger Games, Blazing Games Inc., and Gameloft are all included in the new partnerships. Here's what their deals include.
This is an original mobile game based on the Mega Man X series (known as Rockman X in Japan). Closed beta access begins today for ROG Phone series device owners. Owners of either device get a custom weapon to use in-game, too.
There will also be optimizations for the 120Hz display and the ROG Kunai Gamepad for ROG Phone II users.
The latest from Madfinger Games is Shadowgun Legends, which has been available for a while now. ASUS has worked with Madfinger to optimize the game for use with the ROG Kunai gamepad, TwinView Dock II, and Dual Surrounding Vibration.
These will be optimizations that are only available for the ROG Phone II, however ROG Phone owners are included for something else. ASUS says all ROG Phone owners will get special in-game costumes and items.
With Gameloft owners are getting access to a special Porsche 911 with a ROG decal that will be unlockable in Asphalt 9: Legends for free. ROG Phone II owners are getting optimizations for Asphalt 9: Legends with compatible ROG accessories like the TwinView Dock II and Dual Surrounding Vibration.
Asphalt 9: Legends will also com pre-installed on all ROG Phone II units.
Blazing Games Inc.
Sometime in 2020 Blazing Games Inc. is launching a mobile RPG called Project Vega. ROG Phone II users are getting exclusive in-game content for this title, as well as early access to the beta and game optimizations.
Most partnership benefits are available today
Aside from the access to Project Vega from Blazing Games Inc., most of the partnership benefits will be available today.
This means owners of ROG series phones will be able to jump into games immediately and begin testing things out.
ASUS originally announced the ROG Phone II back in July, and at the time it was already poised to become a mobile gaming powerhouse. These new partnerships will only help it do just that.
