Verizon Fios has just launched another deal. And it's going to make it easier to leave your current ISP and get a better Internet service in your home.
Right now, if you switch to Verizon Fios' 100/100 plan (that's 100Mbps down and 100Mbps up) that is priced at $39.99, Verizon will help you get out of your current contract. It will give you up to $500 to cover switching charges for breaking your contract. Whether you're switching from Comcast, AT&T, Charter or another ISP. Verizon has your back. The way this works is, you'll send in a copy of the early termination fee from your current ISP, as well as any other fees they are charging. About eight weeks later you'll get a prepaid Visa card that can be used anywhere. And it'll have the amount that you paid to your ISP.
That's not all. Verizon is also offering up a $50 Prepaid Visa Card when you switch over to its service. That makes this a really great time to make the jump over to Verizon Fios. That's not a big amount for a prepaid card, but the bigger deal here is that Verizon will reimburse you to switch to Fios.
If the 100Mbps plan isn't fast enough for you, Verizon Fios does have a couple of other plans available. These range from the 100/100 plan up to 940/880, which is faster than just about any other ISP right now. There are a couple of other ISPs that offer Gig speeds, but not for under $100.
Verizon Fios has been rated as one of the best internet service providers. And it's not hard to see why. Verizon Fios offers some pretty insane speeds, at really great prices. Name another ISP where you can get 100Mbps for just $40 per month? Unless there's some crazy promotion going on, you won't find it. And this is Verizon Fios' normal price for this plan. You also won't find another ISP that has 100Mbps down and up, as the majority of them are not using fiber – especially at that speed. So you're likely going to get 100Mbps down and about 5-8Mbps up.
With the network being a fiber optic network, it means that you're going to be able to stream to your heart's content without worrying about the video buffering. In fact, Verizon Fios does offer up YouTube TV to its users. And with these speeds, you're going to be able to stream multiple shows at the same time, and never see that dreaded buffer spinning circle icon. That's something we can all get behind.
If you're a gamer, then Verizon Fios is perfect for you too. With this fast speed and low ping, it means that you can play online games without having to worry about it lagging behind. This is especially good for first-person shooter games. As with those, if you lag behind a half a second, that could be the difference between dying and surviving.
This 100Mbps plan is going to be great for families of four, but the ability to upgrade to a faster plan is great too. If you are looking to switch from your current ISP, then you'll want to give Verizon Fios a look. Remember that Verizon Fios is not available everywhere. It's actually only really available up and down the east coast. Unfortunately, it is not nationwide, which is the only real knock against Fios right now. Verizon Fios does have plans to expand to other cities in the future though, so that may not be the case for much longer.
