The Samsung Galaxy S10e is a really great smartphone to pick up. Especially now that it is just $479.99 over at Amazon.

That is for a "renewed" model and not a new one, but that is still nearly $300 off of its regular price. Making this a great phone to pick up before heading back to school next week.

The Galaxy S10e is the "cheaper" of the three Galaxy S10 smartphones that Samsung released back in March. It doesn't sport the curved AMOLED display, and it also drops the telephoto lens, but brings a more useful fingerprint sensor. As it is now mounted on the side, instead of in the display.

It sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED flat display, which is going to make it easier to use, versus the curved display. It still sports the Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Besides a few minor things, this is still every bit of a flagship smartphone.

Samsung has also kept the micro SD card slot, so that if 128GB of storage is not enough for you, well you can add more.

The Galaxy S10e does have a headphone jack, so you won't need to worry about using a dongle with your headphones this year.

All of this makes the Galaxy S10e a really great smartphone to pick up, if you're a student. One, it doesn't cost a ton. Two, it has everything you'd expect from a 2019 smartphone. And three, it has a pretty impressive camera. There's really nothing to dislike about this smartphone. And it also comes in a ton of different colors, many of which are pretty bright.

Finally, the Galaxy S10e is unlocked and will work on all four US carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.
