UPDATE: Max J., a well-known tipster, reported that this is not the OnePlus 7T Pro after all, just a prototype of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

ORIGINAL: The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro were announced back in May, and it was only a matter of time before the OnePlus 7T series starts leaking out, as the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro are expected to become official towards the end of the year.

Well, that has just happened, at least it seems like it. The alleged OnePlus 7T Pro has leaked on Weibo (Chinese social network). The phone appeared in two pictures, and do take this leak with a grain of salt, as the phone that leaked resembles the OnePlus 7 Pro quite a bit, and could be fake. In other words, this could be the OnePlus 7 Pro prototype that someone is trying to pass off as the OnePlus 7T Pro.

On the other hand, it could be the OnePlus 7T Pro if the company is planning to stick with almost the same design, which would not be all that surprising. This phone is placed in a case in these two images, so we don't really get to see the whole design.

OnePlus probably won't change the design of the OnePlus 7 Pro all that much for the next generation, but it remains to be seen what will the OnePlus 7T look like, if it becomes official. OnePlus may opt to stick to the OnePlus 7's design here, but that means that the OnePlus 7T would be the third-gen phone to share almost the same design, following the OnePlus 6T, and OnePlus 7.

The alleged OnePlus 7T Pro did surface, and Max J., a well-known tipster, confirmed that the OnePlus 7T series is coming. That confirmation actually came shortly before the OnePlus 7T Pro leaked. Max J. also suggested that he has more info, but refused to share anything just yet, as he wanted to create a bit of hype.

The OnePlus 6T got announced back in October last year, and the OnePlus 7T series is expected to arrive in either October or November this year, should OnePlus opt to announce those two devices.

If the OnePlus 7T series becomes official, it will almost certainly be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus, a brand new processor by the company. The Snapdragon 855 Plus is not a huge upgrade over the Snapdragon 855, in fact, it's almost the same processor which comes with a higher clock speed.

The OnePlus 7T series will probably come with some additional improvements, though, as the two phones may offer the periscope camera system that we've seen in the Huawei P30 Pro and the OPPO Reno flagship. We're only guessing, as OPPO is a sister company to OnePlus, so OnePlus probably has access to that technology.

OnePlus may opt to include some more bells and whistles into the OnePlus 7T series smartphones, as we may see a proper IP certification included, or something of the sort. Wireless charging probably won't be a part of the package, unless OnePlus figured out how it can make it a lot faster while keeping the phone cool at the same time, that's at least what the company has been trying to do.
