Amazon has dropped the price of the LG 65-inch C9 OLED TV today, dropping it down to just $2496. That is good for $700 or 22-percent off of its regular price and that makes this a really great time to pick up this model.
The C9 is the 2019 model, and it's the second line, above its entry model lineup the B9 series. So it's the cheapest line you can get without getting last year's hardware.
This TV from LG is a really great one to grab, especially at 65-inches. It's an OLED TV, so you're going to get a better picture than you would with most of the other TVs on the market. OLED provides you with deeper blacks, as well as richer and more accurate colors. If you ever watch any movies or TV shows that are usually pretty dark, then an OLED TV is going to be perfect for those, as you can still see what's going on.
LG does have its own webOS running on this TV. So you're going to get access to Google Play Movies & TV, YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and so much more. Saving you from needing to add a set top box to this one, which is a nice thing.
LG has also included both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. So that no matter which platform you use to control your smart home devices, you will be able to use it on this TV. You can use these assistants to control what's on your TV and open up Netflix, instead of just using them to turn on and off the lights in the living room.
