The Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are expected to arrive on September 19. That is at least what the latest report suggests. Having said that, another piece of the puzzle just appeared, battery capacities of the two Mate 30 phones.
Two real-life images appeared on Weibo (Chinese social network), revealing such info. According to this, the Huawei Mate 30 will include a 4,200mAh battery on the inside. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro, on the other hand, will ship with a 4,500mAh battery.
Improved battery capacities
This is an improvement over last year's models. The Huawei Mate 20 included a 4,000mAh battery on the inside, while the Mate 20 Pro shipped with a 4,200mAh unit. Do note that this is just a random leak at this point (regarding the Mate 30 phones), so take the info with a grain of salt.
The Huawei Mate 30 series information has been leaking for a while now, and yet we don't know exactly what the two phones will look like. We do know that they will be made out of metal and glass, and ship multiple cameras on the back. Leica's lenses will be a part of the package yet again, while the Kirin 990 will fuel both phones.
The Kirin 990 will become official along with the two devices, or earlier in September. Rumors suggest that the chip will support 4K recording at 60fps, which is something that the Kirin 980 did not support.
What to expect in terms of specs?
Android 10 aka Android Q will fuel both the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, while Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI) 10 will be included on top of it. Emotion UI 10 was introduced by Huawei not long ago, and it brings a system-wide dark mode, in addition to other features.
Huawei is expected to include plenty of RAM inside Mate 30 smartphones, the Mate 30 starting at 6GB, most probably. Both phones are expected to include stereo speakers, while it seems like both will sport display notches as well. That is at least what rumors and leaks have been saying thus far.
You can expect to see OLED displays on both phones. The Huawei Mate 30 will probably sport a fullHD+ panel, while the Mate 30 Pro will feature a QHD+ unit. Fast charging, both wired and wireless, will also be included in the package. Huawei is actually expected to go above and beyond, and offer either 25W or 30W fast wireless charging. Whatever the case may be, that will be the fastest wireless charging on the market.
A 3.5mm headphone jack probably won't be included in the package, but an in-display fingerprint scanner will. Huawei is expected to utilize an optical in-display fingerprint scanner in both of these devices.
Huawei will have plenty of competition in the market, and considering the situation with the US, it remains to be seen how well will the two phones do for the company. The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro were highly successful for Huawei, in case you were wondering.
