Amazon has dropped the price of the ASUS Chromebook Flip C101, dropping it down to just $249. That is good for about $50 off of its regular price. Not a huge discount, but it is one of the very few times that we have seen the C101 drop in price.

This Chromebook from ASUS is a couple of years old, but that doesn't really matter. It still performs like a champ and gets updates from Google.

Internally, you'll find the Rockchip RK3399 chipset, which is a quad-core processor, clocked at 2.0GHz. It also comes with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. That storage might sound like it's on the low-end, but it really isn't. Remember, that with Chromebooks, all of your data is stored in Google Drive (or the cloud). And all Google accounts get 15GB for free. You can also upgrade to 100GB for $2 per month, or 1TB for $10 per month. So it's still very cheap to get more storage.

This is part of ASUS' Flip series of Chromebooks, which means that it does have a touchscreen. It's a 10.1-inch touchscreen with a pretty low-resolution of 1366×768. That does sound really low, but let's remember that this is a sub-$300 Chromebook. Which means that you aren't going to be getting the best of the best.

This is a really good Chromebook to pick up and take back to school this upcoming school year. It's lightweight, the battery can last about 10 hours on a charge. And it is also really good for taking notes. It can do everything you need, and weigh less, which is always a good thing. Especially when you're carrying a bunch of other books with you.
