If you grew up in the age of the original PlayStation then you understand the importance that it brought to the gaming industry. There were so many great titles to play that have now been inducted into the gaming hall of fame of sorts, and some of those titles are installed on Sony's PlayStation Classic, the mini version of the console that started it all for Sony, including games like Final Fantasy VII, Wild Arms, Tekken 3 and more.
Normally this would retail for about $60 but it's down to a measly $20 right now on Prime Day, meaning you can be playing some of your favorites from the PS1 era on a physical console. Sure you could play these titles digitally through ROMs and emulators, but there's just something about playing older retro games on a physical console with the actual controller in hand.
The PlayStation Classic looks just like the original system but in a smaller format, and it comes with two wired controllers (just like the old days) as well as 20 preloaded games. It also supports HDMI and comes with the cable as well as a virtual memory card for storing all your game saves, which means no more worrying about losing those memory cards and no stress of losing hours upon hours of invested gameplay time.
