The Razer Phone 2 was down to just $399 for Prime Day last week. After that was over with, it went back up to about $599. Now it's down to its Prime Day price once again, which is also it's all-time low. That's just $399, which is a pretty impressive price for this smartphone, and good for $400 off of its regular price.
This smartphone from Razer is a beast. Now it is marketed as a "gaming phone" but that doesn't mean you need to be a gamer to buy it. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD 120Hz display. That is smaller than most other smartphones on the market these days, but that is because Razer is sticking with a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of jumping to a 18:9 or even 19.5:9 aspect ratio. That also keeps those front-facing speakers intact, which also come with Dolby Atmos.
Internally, the Razer Phone 2 sports the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, there is also a micro SD card slot included for expanding that storage.
The Razer Phone 2 doesn't really have any crazy specs, compared to other smartphones, but what makes this phone so fast is the software. It's running a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo, which is a bit old at this point, but it is getting Pie pretty soon. With it using stock Android, it's going to be lighter and allow the phone to perform things much faster than something like a Galaxy S10 with OneUI on-board.
Razer did add wireless charging this year, but with that 4,000mAh capacity battery, you likely won't need to charge that phone much during the day, if at all. Which is good to see, as that's something we all hate to do, and that's charging our phone during the day.
