Amazon's Discounted HP Chromebook Is Perfect For Summer Travel

The HP Chromebook 14 (14-db0060nr) is currently discounted at Amazon, dropping down to just $249. That's $50 off of its regular price. Considering this HP Chromebook is brand, spanking new, that is a pretty good price drop.

HP's Chromebook 14 is one of the first AMD-powered Chromebooks on the market. It is powered by AMD's A4-9120 processor. That's a dual-core 2.2GHz processor. Which doesn't sound like it's super powerful, but keep in mind that a Chromebook doesn't run a full operating system like Windows or macOS. It is plain and simply, a browser-based operating system. So 2.2GHz is actually pretty powerful for a Chromebook.

It is also paired with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. As mentioned, it's a Chromebook, so it doesn't need a ton of storage either - that's what Google Drive is for. And you get 100GB of storage space in Google Drive too. The battery life is rated at about nine hours, and on a less powerful chipset (one that is actually made for smartphones) you should be able to get that number pretty easily.

Since this is an HP laptop, that also means that B&O PLAY is also included. Resulting in some pretty good sounding speakers in this Chromebook. Making it a really good option for those that do want to use their Chromebook for watching YouTube and other things.

The HP Chromebook 14 does have a touchscreen, it's a 14-inch 1366x768 resolution touchscreen, so it's not the best out there. It also doesn't have a 360-degree hinge, like the Chromebook X2 has. Which means you can't use it as a tablet, unfortunately. But other than that, this is a really good option.

You can pick up the HP Chromebook 14 from Amazon using the link below. This $249 price tag likely won't last long, so you're going to want to grab one before it's gone.
