He does not that this information has been picked up from the source code of the device, and credits Abhishek Aggarwal for such information. According to the source, this upcoming phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, and it will include an NFC chip.
On top of that, the phone will feature three cameras on its back, and a single front-facing unit. An in-display fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package, while the phone will support wireless charging as well, claims the source.
That is pretty much all the info that was shared, but considering that the next flagship phone that Xiaomi is expected to announce is the Mi MIX 4, this could actually be that device. There is always a chance that Xiaomi will introduce another high-end phone before the Mi MIX 4, of course, so… take the info with a grain of salt.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was announced in October last year, and if Xiaomi ends up sticking to that release cycle, we're still quite some time away from the Mi MIX 4's launch. The company did introduce the Mi MIX 2S in March last year, though, but it doesn't seem like Xiaomi is planning to push the Mi MIX 3S to the market at all, as it's already May, and we didn't hear anything about that device.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will become the company's second flagship of 2019, following the Xiaomi Mi 9 which launched not long ago. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is still a complete mystery, though, all the features that were mentioned in today's tweet will probably be a part of the package, but that's pretty much all we know about the device.
The Mi MIX 4 will include extremely thin bezels, that's kind of its main thing, and chances are Xiaomi will look for a way to avoid including a display hole / notch. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 include a sliding camera system, and it's possible that Xiaomi will resort to something like that this time around as well. On the other hand, we may get a pop-up camera system on the Mi MIX 4, we'll see.
The phone will be made either from metal and glass or metal and ceramic, there's even a chance that both variants will see the light of day. The device will arrive in several RAM options, starting at 6GB, quite probably. Several storage options will also be available, while either Android 9 Pie or Android Q will come pre-installed on it, depending on when Google ends up releasing Android Q, and how fast Xiaomi manages to adapt it to its MIUI Android overlay.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will probably have even thinner bezels than the Mi MIX 3, and the Mi MIX 3 shipped with an 85-percent screen-to-body ratio, so the Mi MIX 4 has a rather high level to reach in this regard.
