Google Pixel 3a Is Available From Amazon & Comes With A $100 Gift Card

The Google Pixel 3a is now available at Amazon, a week after it was announced. And to sweeten the deal on this already inexpensive smartphone, Amazon is tossing in a free $100 gift card.

Google's Pixel 3a has been making all sorts of headlines since it was announced at Google I/O last week in Mountain View. It's by far one of the best sub-$500 smartphones you can buy, and it has one of the best cameras on any smartphone today. Now, you can buy it from Amazon. This model from Amazon is the unlocked US model, so it will work on all four US carriers. That includes AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Meaning that all you need to do is pop in your SIM card and you'll be good to go.

The Pixel 3a comes in two sizes, the standard Pixel 3a with a 5.6-inch screen and then the Pixel 3a XL which has a 6-inch screen. Both of which sport a full HD+ OLED display, along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The only real difference besides screen size, is the battery. Which the Pixel 3a has a 3000mAh capacity battery, with the Pixel 3a XL sporting a 3700mAh capacity battery.

You can't talk about the Pixel 3a without talking about that camera. It's a 12-megapixel sensor, the same sensor (and module even) as the Pixel 3 that is twice the price. And it also has Google's impressive camera software included, giving you some great pictures. Now it does miss out on the Pixel Visual Core, but that's not a big deal for most people, seeing as the pictures still look nearly the same, with and without the Pixel Visual Core.

The Pixel 3a really stands out from the Pixel 3 for its performance and price tag. Even though it has a lower-end chipset, compared to the more expensive Pixel 3, it actually performs better. The biggest reason for this is the fact that the Snapdragon 670 is optimized for 4GB of RAM, while the Snapdragon 845 chipset is not. But, what really makes the Pixel 3a stand out, is the battery life. Both Pixel 3a models have larger batteries than the Pixel 3 models. And when combined with the very battery efficient Snapdragon 670, and a lower-resolution display on the larger model, that means some pretty impressive battery life.

In fact, the Pixel 3a XL can get you up to seven hours of screen on time, which is definitely pretty impressive.

Google's Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are relatively inexpensive, with prices of $399 and $479 respectively. They are available from Amazon in all three colors: Just Black, Clearly White and Purple-ish. Make sure you click on the option for the free $100 gift card, when you order yours. Now, Amazon does say that it is expected to ship in one to three weeks. It will likely ship sooner than that, but the Purple-ish one might take a bit longer. As it is out of stock at a few other retailers right now too.
