Ulefone has announced that a new rugged smartphone is coming, the Armor 6E. That handset will be more powerful than the Armor 6 which was announced a while back, says the company, and Ulefone even released an unboxing video of the device, to give us all a better look at it.
The aforementioned video is embedded down below, and it has a duration of about a minute and a half. As you can see, the phone will look the same as the Armor 6, which we'll talk about in a minute.
Aside from the device, the retail box also contains a warranty card, charging adapter, a Type-C USB to 3.5mm audio adapter, OTG cable, and even a screen protector for the phone. On top of that, the company also included a plastic spudger, and of course a cable for charging, manual, and a SIM card ejection tool.
Considering that this phone looks the same as the Armor 6, you're getting two vertically-aligned rear-facing cameras, along with a dual-LED flash and a fingerprint scanner which are located right below those cameras. The phone looks rugged, and it features bezels on the front. In the provided video, Ulefone also did several tests on the phone to show you it's very durable, the device got dropped onto concrete, and splashed with water.
The Ulefone Armor 6E features a 6.2-inch fullHD+ display with a 19:9 display aspect ratio. The phone is fueled by the Helio P70 64-bit octa-core processor by MediaTek, while it comes with a 5,000mAh battery which is not removable.
The Armor 6E comes with IP68/IP69K certification, which makes this phone resistant to water and dust, while it is also shock resistant. Humidity cannot hard this device either, while it is also well protected against solar radiation, and extreme temperatures.
The phone supports wireless charging as well, you're getting 10W Qi wireless charging here, though you will need to get a wireless charging adapter on the side, as it is not included in the retail package.
Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the phone, while an NFC chip is also a part of the package. The phone includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while you will find 16 and 2-megapixel cameras on the back of the phone. An 8-megapixel camera is included on the phone's front side, for selfies and video calls.
The phone will become available for pre-order on May 6 from Banggood, while the pre-order price will be set at $199. This will be quite a discount, as the phone's regular retail price stands at $299.99. Do note that only the first 3,000 buyers will be able to get this discount, so you may want to hurry up once the phone becomes available.
