OUKITEL has just released a new video on its official YouTube channel, and this time around, the company is trying to prove that the OUKITEL K9's battery lasts longer than batteries on phones from previous generations. So, the company is comparing the OUKITEL K9's power consumption to power consumption on some of its older devices with similar battery sizes.
The OUKITEL K9 is pitted against the OUKITEL K6 and K6000 Plus. The OUKITEL K9 features a 6,000mAh battery, while the other two phones ship with 6,300mAh and 6,080mAh units, respectively. The OUKITEL K9 does come ahead of the other two devices, and the company lists processor improvements and Android OS improvements as the main reason why that is.
The OUKITEL K9, K6, and K6000 Plus are fueled by the Helio P35, Helio P23, and MediaTek MT6750T processors, respectively. In the provided video, OUKITEL streamed some music, video, made an online voice call, and fired up camera recording on these devices for a specific period of time, in order to see how the device will react. It is worth noting that displays on these devices were constantly on, and were set to maximum brightness.
After one hour of music playback, the OUKITEL K9, K6, and K6000 Plus stood at 92-percent, 89-percent, and 87-percent of battery, respectively. After one hour of video streaming, those percentages fell to 79-percent, 71-percent, and 69-percent, while an hour of voice calling pushed them down even further, to 68-percent, 56-percent, and 52-percent, respectively. One hour of video recording was a final test, and after that, the OUKITEL K9, K6, and K6000 Plus were left with 48-percent, 36-percent, and 30-percent of battery, respectively.
As you can see, the OUKITEL K9 did considerably better than the other two phones, despite the fact it has the smallest battery out of these three devices. This is not exactly all that surprising considering that a new processor is in play, and that Android 9 Pie certainly played an important role here.
The OUKITEL K9 is actually one of OUKITEL's newest smartphones, the device comes with a small dewdrop notch at the top of its display, while a "chin" is present below the display as well. The OUKITEL K9 actually includes a huge 7.12-inch fullHD+ display, and its 6,000mAh battery supports 5V/6A fast charging. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
This handset is not yet available for purchase, but it will become available in early May. The phone's retail price will stand at $229.99, though if you subscribe on the company's official website, you can get that price down to $199.99, and also get a gift in addition to that. OUKITEL will also choose two consumers who subscribed, and will give away two OUKITEL K9 units. If you'd like to know more, hit the link down below.
