Best Fitness Trackers You Can Buy - April 2019

Summer is right around the corner, and it's never too late to get in shape and get that summer body. With technology, you can definitely get there faster than you ever thought possible. There are some really great fitness trackers out there that can help track your workouts, as well as the calories you are taking in every single day. But which ones are the best to buy? We've rounded up the very best fitness trackers that are currently available. These hit all sorts of price points, with some being under $50.

Fitbit Charge 3

For the best all-around fitness tracker, the Fitbit Charge 3 is going to be the best option. The Charge 3 has a ton of features, including the ability to track all of your workouts. That includes lifting weights, yoga and much more. The Charge 3 can also track your swimming, since it is now water-proof and can be worn in the pool. So no matter what kind of workout you are doing, the Charge 3 has you covered.

On top of fitness tracking, the Charge 3 also has a pretty large display. It is still a black and white display, which allows the battery to last for a few days. But it offers plenty of information about your workout and such. There is no physical button on the Charge 3, just a touch sensitive button, which actually works pretty well. But it's only used to go "home".

The Charge 3 doesn't have as many features as some other fitness trackers out there, but at this price point, it's the best option. It is priced at $149 right now and you can pick it up from Amazon using the link below.

Huawei Band 3 Pro

The Huawei Band 3 Pro is one of the cheaper options on this list, and it also offers up some pretty great features. First off, the Band 3 Pro can last up to 12 days on a single charge. Or up to seven days when using GPS. That is more than any other fitness tracker on this list, and definitely a big selling point for the Band 3 Pro.

The Band 3 Pro also has a pretty large AMOLED, color display, allowing you to see plenty of content on the screen. This includes the ability to see your steps taken, calories burned and even the time. You can also get your notifications on the Band 3 Pro, so it can act more like a smartwatch too. The Band 3 Pro is also water-proof and can be taken into the pool, similar to a lot of others on this list.

Huawei's Band 3 Pro can be picked up from Amazon using the link below, where it is currently priced at $69.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is a good option for those that want a hybrid wearable. One that is a fitness tracker but can also double as a smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch Active is a fitness tracker first, smartwatch second. So it focuses on fitness tracking, as you might expect. Like many other fitness trackers on this list, it does also support swim tracking, thanks to it being waterproof.

This watch will also track your other workouts, as well as steps taken and calories burned. And it is all tracked in the Samsung Health app.

Samsung uses its Tizen software on the Galaxy Watch Active, so it will work with Android smartphones as well as iOS devices. It does also have a few apps that are available, but it works better for notifications and being able to reply to messages. Though there is Bixby included, it's probably best not to use it.

You can pick up the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active from Amazon using the link below, it is currently priced at $199.

Garmin vivofit 3 Activity Tracker

The Garmin vivofit 3 is a great option for those that do a lot of running and want to have their heart rate measured the entire time. Garmin is pretty good with measuring your heart rate with its fitness trackers, and the vivofit 3 is no different. It's a lightweight tracker that is able to track your runs for up to an entire year - this is because it does not have a rechargeable battery, instead it uses a watch-style battery inside.

Garmin also made the vivofit 3 for tracking workouts like lifting weights and such. So that you can track all of your workouts with the same fitness tracker, which is hugely important.

You can pick up the Garmin vivofit 3 activity tracker from Amazon using the link below. It is usually priced at $79.99, but right now you can get it for $57.

Fitbit Inspire HR

Fitbit's newest fitness tracker is the Inspire HR, which is a pretty good looking fitness tracker from the company. As you can see from the name, it does indeed have a heart rate sensor included. Making it a really great option for those that are looking for an inexpensive fitness tracker that looks great and does heart rate monitoring.

Inspire HR can automatically track your workouts, including bike-riding, walking, weight training and much more. So you don't even have to worry about starting to track your workouts yourself, as the tracker will do it all by itself. It is also able to track your calories burned and within the app you are able to input the calories you've taken in. Finally, the Inspire HR is also able to track your sleep, so that you are able to see how well you are or aren't sleeping. Always a good thing.

You can pick up the Fitbit Inspire HR from Amazon using the link below. It is currently priced at $99, and is available in a few colors, including black, lilac, sangria and white.

Withings Steel HR Sport

This is another hybrid watch, this time from Withings. The Withings Steel HR Sport looks like an old-school watch, while also being able to track your workouts throughout the day. This actually has a heart rate sensor, so you can really see how far you are pushing yourself too, which is a big deal for a lot of people.

Withings Steel HR Sport is a great looking fitness tracker, and it tracks everything that you would expect a fitness tracker to track. That includes your workouts, steps taken, calories burned and much more. It can also automatically track your workouts - though not as many as what Fitbit is able to track. While looking like an old-school watch.

You can pick up the Withings Steel HR Sport from Amazon using the link below. It is currently going for around $199, so it's not cheap, but worth it for the looks alone.

Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro

The Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro is another great fitness tracker, this time from Samsung. It looks great, and also comes in at under $200, making it cheaper than the Galaxy Watch Active.

With the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro you're going to be able to track all of your workouts on your wrist. It is also water-proof like virtually every other tracker on this list. So you are able to take it into the pool and track your swimming too. The Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro will allow you to track your calories burned, so you can see how well you've done today. There is also a heart rate sensor included, so you can see if you need to take your workouts to the next level.

Like the Galaxy Watch Active, the Gear Fit2 Pro will also allow you to get notifications on your wrist. So you can stay up-to-date with what's going on in the world, and not miss any tweets or anything like that. Which can be very important to a lot of people.

You can pick up the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro from Amazon using the link below. This is currently priced at $155, though its original price was $199. Since this is over a year old now, expect to see some more discounts for it pretty soon.

Wrap Up

Fitness trackers are mostly all the same. These all, for the most part, offer up the same features. They can all track your workouts, they can all track your calories, all be used for tracking swimming and so forth. What really sets them apart is the app and ecosystem it has behind it. For instance, Fitbit's options are always the most popular because they have a great app and a great community. Allowing you to compete against others that have Fitbit trackers as well. Which works as motivation to get out there and workout more, take more steps and so forth.

Fitbit has a number of great options, but if you aren't so much interested in the app and competing against others. Then the Withings Steel HR Sport is going to be the best all-round option out there. It is a really great looking smartwatch, it can track your workouts, has a heart rate sensor and the battery lasts for nearly a month. All of the options here are really great, and they will differ depend on what you are looking for. But you can't go wrong with any of these.
