The Samsung Galaxy S10 is now official. And pre-orders are open. That means that it is time to start looking at cases to pick up for your new Galaxy S10 smartphone. A case is necessary to keep your phone in tip-top shape, especially since the Galaxy S10 is a glass-backed smartphone. So you're going to want to pick one up. Luckily, we have rounded up the best cases that are currently available.
These are all cases that are currently available, not announced or available for pre-order. So the list is a bit short right now. But it will get longer once the Galaxy S10 is actually available after March 8, and within the coming weeks as other case makers get their hands on the device and are able to make their own cases for the phone.
Spigen Neo Hybrid
The Spigen Neo Hybrid is a pretty good case to pick up for the Galaxy S10, since it does offer some protection for your new smartphone without making the phone all that much thicker. It has a textured backside, that makes it much easier to hold onto, and since the Galaxy S10 is already pretty slippery, this is definitely a good thing.
Spigen offers the Neo Hybrid in four colors, which include: Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Burgundy, and Gunmetal. This case is available for just $15.99 right now, and you can pick it up from Amazon using the link below.
OtterBox Commuter Series
The OtterBox Commuter Series is a really good case to grab, if you are one that might drop your phone quite a bit. The Commuter Series is rather thick, but does make the Galaxy S10 nearly drop-proof, though it's not recommended to drop it anyways. But with the Commuter Series you won't need to worry about dropping your phone and it being damaged.
OtterBox offers the Commuter Series case in three colors: black, bespoke way blue, and ballet way pink. It is available for just $39.95 - making it one of the cheaper OtterBox cases on the market right now. And you can pick it up from OtterBox's website using the link below.
Pelican Adventurer Case
The Galaxy S10 does have a rather good looking design, but by slapping a case on the phone, you aren't going to be able to see that design. Unless, you get a clear case. Which Pelican has one here that is clear with a black bumper, and it does look really nice on the Galaxy S10. With the bumper on the sides, you will get some grip, making it easier to hold onto the phone. But you also will get some shock absorption in case you do drop your smartphone.
The Pelican Adventurer Case is available in clear/black for just $30, and you can pick it up from Amazon using the link below.
This is a fan favorite that just about everyone absolutely loves. It's a dual-layer case from Incipio that has a soft layer that goes against your phone and then a harder shell so it can withstand drops and such. It gives a pretty good look, while also providing some great protection for your smartphone. On top of that, it also gives you some grip, so you won't drop it. The only downside, is that the DualPro does make the Galaxy S10 a bit thicker than many would like.
The DualPro is available in a few colors including black, clear, pink and iridescent red. It is priced at $29.99 and you can pick it up from Amazon using the link down below.
Spigen Thin Fit Air
Many cases do make the Galaxy S10 thicker, and that's because they are offering up some great protection for the Galaxy S10. But the Spigen Thin Fit Air ditches that trend. It's a thinner case from Samsung that will still give you some protection, but it doesn't make the Galaxy S10 a lot thicker than it already is. So you're not left with a more bulky smartphone in your pocket.
The Spigen Thin Fit Air is available in black and graphite gray. It is priced at $11.99 and can be picked up from Amazon using the link down below.
VRS Design Crystal Chrome
Here's another option for those that still want to show off the design of their new Galaxy S10. The VRS Design Crystal Chrome is a clear case that still offers some protection for your smartphone. It does have a lip over the display, so if it is dropped, the display will be protected. It also features a TPU bumper, which can absorb the shock of it being dropped. Since smartphones usually hit on the side when they are dropped, this is a good feature to have.
VRS Design offers the Crystal Chrome in clear and black. The color only changes in the bumper, so if you do grab the prism black Galaxy S10, the black model may look better on that particular smartphone. It is priced at $12.99 and you can pick it up from Amazon using the link below.
Spigen Tough Armor
Spigen also offers a "tougher" case for the Galaxy S10, which features a kickstand as well. Making this great for taking on a plane or train and watching Netflix. But that's not the reason why you'd buy the Tough Armor Case. This is another dual-layer case that is going to provide you with some great protection for your smartphone. It has a tough outer casing that can absorb shock if the Galaxy S10 is ever dropped. It also gives you a nice two-tone look, which is nice to see.
The Spigen Tough Armor is available in four colors: black, gunmetal, graphite gray, and rose gold. You can pick it up from Amazon using the link below for just $15.99 (or $17.99 depending on the color).
Vinve Carbon Fiber TPU case
This case from Vinve is a really good looking case, especially if you are a fan of carbon fiber. This is a carbon fiber TPU case that is also thin. This means that it's not going to make your smartphone overly thick in the process. That is something that a lot of people are going to appreciate. The only downside here is that it does not quite have a lip over the display, making it not as protective as some of the other cases on this list. If you don't drop your phone a lot, then this is probably an okay admission.
The Vinve Carbon Fiber TPU case is available from Amazon for just $7.98, and you can grab it from the link below. It is also available in four colors: red, gray, blue and black.
VRS Design Damda Glide Shield
The Damda Glide Shield from VRS Design is another really great option for a number of reasons. Firstly, because it does add a fair bit of protection to your Galaxy S10. So you wouldn't need to worry about dropping your Galaxy S10 and it breaking. But this is also a wallet case. Now while the Galaxy S10 does have Samsung Pay, there are still some places that don't accept it, and some banks that aren't supported. So you can keep those in this case, and leave your wallet at home.
This is available from Amazon for $24.99 using the link below. VRS Design offers the Damda Glide Shield in three colors, which include: solid pink blue, matte black and solid yellow peach.
Spigen Rugged Armor
This is the most popular case, all-time for just about every smartphone out there. It's one of those tried and true cases that does what everyone wants, it looks good, and it doesn't cost a fortune.
The Rugged Armor is a TPU case, so it doesn't make your smartphone all that much thicker, but it does give it a pretty nice look. It's a soft-touch material with carbon-fiber near the top of the case, giving it a unique look. It also sports a lip over the display, making it great for protecting the Galaxy S10.
You can pick up the Spigen Rugged Armor case from Amazon using the link below. It is listed at $12.99 but at the time of writing this, there is a $1.00 off coupon that you can clip and get it for just $11.99.
All of the cases on this list are really great options for the Galaxy S10 - and many are also available for the Galaxy S10+, if you are opting for the larger version. Though we will be doing a separate list for the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+. Whether you are looking for something that is clear so you can still show off the design of the Galaxy S10, or maybe something a bit thicker, since you are clumsy and do drop your phone a lot. There is definitely something here for everyone.
You really can't go wrong with any of the Spigen options here, no matter what you prefer in a case. The Spigen Rugged Armor is one of the fan-favorites, and for good reason. As mentioned, it is a pretty inexpensive case, but it also gives you a great look for your smartphone. There's not much more that you can ask for, when it comes to a case.
