Samsung's 55-inch QLED 4K Smart TV has dropped down to just $997.99 at Amazon right now.
This sale is in anticipation for the big game next month, Super Bowl LIII. This is typically the best time to pick up a new TV. While you may not see the same insane sales that you do around Black Friday, TVs still get some pretty steep discount around the Super Bowl as everyone wants a new TV for their watch parties.
Samsung's QLED TVs offer some of the best looking pictures in the industry, and they are typically cheaper than OLED, which is a plus. With features like Q Contrast and Q HDR, you are going to get a great looking picture, with some deep contrast, which can make the viewing experience even better. There's no Dolby Vision or Audio/Atmos support here, which is unfortunate, but you are still getting a great viewing experience.
This is a smart TV from Samsung, so you're looking at its Tizen OS being on this TV. It has all of the big apps that you'd expect from Samsung. Including YouTube, Netflix, and more. Samsung also announced earlier this month at CES that it is bringing iTunes to its new QLED TVs (and this is one of them). So if you are invested in the Apple ecosystem, your iTunes movies and TV shows will be available soon.
