Deal: TCL 55-inch 4K HDR Roku Smart LED TV For $349 At Amazon - November 2018

Amazon is discounting the very popular TCL 55-inch 4K Roku TV right now, bringing the price back down to just $349. That is good for about $250 off of its regular price. This brings this particular model back down to its' all-time low, though it has not been this price since July for Amazon's Prime Day, and it is unlikely to drop much more for Black Friday, so this is a great time to pick one up.

For those wondering, this is the 55S405 model, which was announced earlier this year at CES, and it's a really good option for those that want a 4K TV with Roku, and doesn't want to spend a ton of money. This is a 4K TV with HDR support, so you're going to get a really good looking picture out of this one, which is good to see. It also has a 120Hz panel, which is going to look really good for fast-paced things like sports. Additionally, the TCL 55-inch TV has three HDMI ports, a USB, an RF Composite, optical audio out, headphone jack and an ethernet port. So you can plug in all of your favorite peripherals. While many TVs do have four HDMI ports, this one only has three, and that is likely because it does have Roku built-in, so you don't need to pick up a set-top box to plug into this TV, eliminating the need for a fourth one.

As mentioned, this does run on Roku's platform. It's the same software that you would get on its set-top boxes, but it's built-in to the TV. So you have the option of watching OTA channels through Roku, as well as the usual array of Roku apps. On Roku, all of the big names are there. This includes Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV and so much more. So it can really replace any other set-top box that you might have. The remote control also has a headphone port for private TV watching, for those times when you don't want to wake up people around you at home. This is a really good deal on the TCL 55S405 TV, and you likely won't find anything cheaper for this TV anytime soon.

This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. However, if you are in one of the select areas that has Prime Now, this is also available and you can get it within a couple of hours, if you are in desperate need. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime, and even some benefits at Whole Foods.
