Deal: Roku Streaming Stick+ For $49 At Amazon - November 2018

The Roku Streaming Stick+ is currently discounted at Amazon, dropping the price by about $10 to $49.99. That is a really good price on the Roku Streaming Stick+ which is now in direct competition with Amazon's new Fire TV Stick 4K that went on sale last week. That is because these are both streaming sticks that also offer 4K and HDR support, and now they are priced exactly the same.

Roku's Streaming Stick+ is a really good option to pick up, especially if you want to make your TV a smart one. It's a small streaming stick that will sit behind your TV, and since it is a stick, it will really be hidden, and make your TV smart. It's a great option since it's not an ugly set-top box that you need to have out in the public where everyone can see it. It does need it's own power though, so you will want to plug it into your wall outlet behind the TV. It could, theoretically plug into the USB port on your TV, but typically these need more power than a USB port inside a TV can provide. So you may still want to plug it into the wall.

With Roku, you are getting a great and robust platform of content that you can watch on your TV. Roku supports all of the big names like Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, SHOWTIME ANYWHERE, DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV and so much more. There are over half a million movies and TV shows available across all of the apps available on Roku. On top of that, Roku also includes a headphone jack on the remote, allowing you to watch TV without disturbing others in the home, or waking anyone up. This is a 4K HDR streaming stick, so you are going to get a great picture here. Of course, you are only going to get 4K and HDR if your TV supports it, and if the content supports it. So you'll want to upgrade your Netflix service to 4K, so you can really take advantage of the great picture that this Roku can provide. It's definitely a great purchase for those looking for a new Roku.

This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. However, if you are in one of the select areas that has Prime Now, this is also available and you can get it within a couple of hours, if you are in desperate need. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime, and even some benefits at Whole Foods.
