Amazon is discounting the Pioneer Elite (VSX-LX302) audio and video receiver today, taking 50-percent off of its regular price. It is normally priced at $799, but today you can pick it up for just $399. And this is not a certified refurbished model either, which makes this a rather impressive deal. This is, however, part of Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day, so it is only going to be discounted today and will end at midnight PST. So you'll want to pick it up before it's gone.

This receiver does support Ultra HD pass-through with HDCP 2.2, as well as being compatible with Dolby Vision and there is also HDR10 and BT.2020 support here. It will support 4K60 and 24-bit audio. Pioneer's receiver here is a perfect addition to your home, especially on the audio front, since it does have Chromecast built-in. This is going to allow you to stream audio from your smartphone to the receiver and take advantage of its incredible audio quality. This is really great for those that would rather stream over WiFi instead of Bluetooth. Speaking of streaming, DTS Play:Fi technologies are also included here, which is another way of streaming over WiFi instead of Bluetooth, but it is a bit more limited here. In addition to Dolby Vision being supported here, Dolby Atmos is also supported along with DTS: x surround sound processing, which is going to give you a really great experience in your entertainment setup here.

Pioneer also has multi-room audio support here, so you could have your TV playing audio throughout your home. So if you need to run into the kitchen and cook dinner, you can still hear what's happening in the game from your TV. Which is a pretty nice feature to have. This receiver from Pioneer is a really good option for those that are looking to step up their entertainment setup a bit more. Especially considering it does support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. However, your TV and soundbar are going to need to support those technologies as well for those to work as they should. So keep that in mind when picking up this receiver. Remember that this is only on sale today and will go back to $799 tomorrow.

This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. However, if you are in one of the select areas that has Prime Now, this is also available and you can get it within a couple of hours, if you are in desperate need. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime, and even some benefits at Whole Foods.
