OUKITEL has just announced that you can purchase the OUKITEL WP2 for less money if you pay a $21 deposit, along with announcing that the phone is now available for pre-order. The company has organized this activity in two phases, in the first phase, you can pay $21 before 5AM on November 10 (PST), in order to get the phone on a discount between 6AM on November 6 and 5AM on November 12 (PST). The phone’s regular price tag is, of course, higher than that, as it’s price tag is set at $249.99.

Now, the OUKITEL WP2 is a brand new smartphone that the company announced quite recently, and this is a rugged handset. All of its physical keys are included on the right, while the phone has rather thick bezels, which was to be expected. The phone is built like a tank, though, and it really does look like it can take a hit without a problem. The OUKITEL WP2 comes with a 10,000mAh battery, and that is one of its main selling point, while it is worth noting that its battery is not removable. You can recharge this battery using a bundled in 9V/2A quick charger, and the phone is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It is also worth noting that the phone is shockproof. NFC chip is also included in the package, and the company says that you can make payments using this phone, thanks to that chip.

The OUKITEL WP2 features a 6-inch 18:9 display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection, though OUKITEL didn’t mention what version of Gorilla Glass exactly. The phone includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, while it is fueled by the MediaTek’s MT6750 64-bit octa-core processor. A 16-megapixel camera (S5K2P7 sensor) is included on the back of the device, while you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera on its front side. It is also worth noting that this phone offers both facial scanning and a fingerprint scanner, as far as security is concerned. The phone’s fingerprint scanner is located on the left, while the device uses its front-facing camera in order to scan faces.
