Deal: NVIDIA SHIELD TV Drops To $139 At Amazon - November 2018

NVIDIA is discounting the price of the SHIELD TV right now, dropping $40 off of the regular price of this set-top box. That brings it back down to its all-time lowest price, which was last seen on Prime Day back in July. This price on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV is going to be good now through Black Friday and Cyber Monday, on November 26. So there's plenty of time to pick one up, but this is going to go rather quickly, so you're going to want to pick one up before it gets backordered.

The SHIELD TV is an Android TV-based set-top box, so all of your favorite apps and games are available here. That includes Netflix, Google Play Movies & TV, Hulu, YouTube, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Sling TV, PlayStation VUE, Fubo TV and so much more. You're going to have plenty of movies and TV shows to watch on the SHIELD TV. But that's not all, there are also a ton of games available. Since this is running on Android, all of your favorite Android gaming titles are also available and with the controller (which isn't sold in this bundle that's on sale, unfortunately), you can play them all on the big screen. SHIELD TV also supports GeFORCE NOW which is NVIDIA's cloud streaming gaming service, where you can stream hundreds of games over your internet connection onto the big screen. Definitely a great feature to have with such a powerful set-top box.

Both 4K and HDR are supported on the SHIELD TV, which is going to allow you to get a great picture on everything that plays on the SHIELD TV. However, like with every set-top box, those technologies are only supported on TVs that also support them. So you would need a 4K HDR TV to really take advantage of these. And you will also need to upgrade your Netflix account to get 4K content, which really does look a whole lot different on the SHIELD TV, compared to the 1080p and 720p content that Netflix typically defaults too. The NVIDIA SHIELD TV is a great set-top box to pick up for anyone this holiday season, especially someone that watches a whole lot of Netflix, as they can also get some gaming done on this set-top box, which is a good thing too.

This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. However, if you are in one of the select areas that has Prime Now, this is also available and you can get it within a couple of hours, if you are in desperate need. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime, and even some benefits at Whole Foods.
