Deal: Amazon Taking $10 Off Of Select Smart Bulbs & Plugs w/ Code - November 2018

Amazon is offering up a pretty interesting deal right now. You can pick up the Wemo Smart Plug Mini for $17.90, or the LIFX Mini White (A19) bulb for $14.99 when you use the promo code SMART10 at checkout. The LIFX bulb has a $0.28 coupon that you can also clip on the page to save a bit more. This will take $10 off of the regular price of these, and are only available for Echo and Sonos One owners. That's not the only caveat though, if you are a first-time smart home product purchaser than you can take advantage of this deal. If you've bought smart home products before, then you can't take advantage of this deal, unfortunately.

The Wemo Smart Plug Mini is a really great smart plug to pick up for a number of reasons, partly because it is small enough so that it will not cover the other plug in the outlet. But it can also be controlled with your smartphone using the Wemo app. So you can set up a schedule, tell it when to turn on or off, and so much more. It's a great product to pick up and use to get started with your smart home. Partly because you can use it to control "dumb" appliances around your home like older lamps, a microwave and other appliances.

Now the LIFX Mini White (A19) bulb is the company's white bulb, meaning that it is not a colored one that will change colors. It's not tuneable either, it's a warm white color, which is about the same color as the other lights in your home, so that's not a big deal. This is a "mini" bulb, but it's the same size bulb as you would find in your lighting fixtures at home right now. So it's not a big deal that this is a mini smart bulb. It does work with Alexa and the LIFX app, so you can dim the light, as well as tell it when you want it turned on and off. It's a great bulb to pick up, especially for just $15 right now. A great way to get started with some smart home products, especially if you don't know where you want to start.

This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. However, if you are in one of the select areas that has Prime Now, this is also available and you can get it within a couple of hours, if you are in desperate need. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime, and even some benefits at Whole Foods.
