Deal: Amazon Fire TV Stick & Echo Dot For $39.98 At Amazon - November 2018

Amazon has bundled, and discounted the Fire TV Stick and the second-generation Echo Dot today, bringing the price down to $39.98. That is good for half off of its regular price, and that is likely because this is the second-generation Echo Dot and not the new one that was just announced. This bundle will make a really great gift this holiday season, especially for those that are looking to bring Alexa into their home, since both products do work with Alexa.

The Fire TV Stick is the older model, which is routinely priced at around $30. It does not do 4K content, but it does do 1080p content. So you are able to stream your favorite content from Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu and other providers. Amazon unfortunately, is not getting along with Google, so that Google's services like YouTube and Play Movies & TV are not available on the Fire TV Stick here. But there are a ton of other options here. There is Alexa included here, so you can ask Alexa to find something to watch on Netflix, or tell her to start playing Stranger Things. Of course, Alexa can also control your smart home products from the Fire TV Stick and even order some pizza for you. Which are all pretty impressive features to say the least. With the Echo Dot, you get Alexa inside of a smart speaker. Now the Echo Dot is not that great of a speaker, since it is so small and only a 5W speaker, but it does work. This is going to allow you to stream your favorite music from Pandora, Amazon Music Unlimited, Spotify and much more. Alexa has tens of thousands of skills available for you to use as well, which include things like controlling smart home products, ordering an Uber, checking your Fitbit stats and so much more.
