OUKITEL WP1 Survives More Torture Tests; Will Be Discounted Soon

The OUKITEL WP1 was introduced a while back, and the company had performed various durability tests on the device, well, OUKITEL has decided to take things a bit further now, as a new durability test video has just surfaced on the company’s official YouTube channel. Before we get started, it is worth noting that the OUKITEL WP1 is a rugged smartphone, though interestingly enough, it comes with a glass back. The device is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance, while it is also shockproof.

The video that is embedded down below has a duration of about four minutes, and the first test that the company decided to perform includes sand. The OUKITEL WP1 was mixed around in a bowl with sand, and after that, OUKITEL decided to add some water in the mix. After it was swimming in that mixture for a bit, the phone was taken out, and it continued to perform just fine. For the second test, OUKITEL prepared some slurry in a bowl, and repeated the process that we’ve seen with sand, water got added, and that didn’t affect the device. For the third test, lime and cement were used. There are several additional tests that the company decided to perform in this video, as some water was added to that cement mixture, while oil paint was used afterwards. All in all, it seems like this phone can handle a lot. If you’re interested in checking out the entire video, it’s embedded down below.

The OUKITEL WP1 comes with two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, and a fingerprint scanner is placed right below them. The device supports wireless charging, which is not something we see often when it comes to rugged smartphones. The OUKITEL WP1 features a 5,000mAh battery, while it comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device features a 5.5-inch HD+ display, while it is fueled by the Helio P23 64-bit octa-core processor by MediaTek. 13 and 2-megapixel cameras can be found on the back of this phone, while a single 5-megapixel camera is included on its front side. The device now costs $169.09 on AliExpress, but the store will offer you a $10 coupon code for the upcoming 11.11 shopping festival, if you’re interested.
