Yahoo's New All-Purpose App Hits The Google Play Store

Yahoo has released a brand new application for Android, and that app comes with a ton of content. This app is named simply “Yahoo!”, and you can download it for free from the Google Play Store. This app comes with various content, including news, weather, info regarding your favorite sports teams, and it will even let you track your stocks. You probably already know that Yahoo has a number of apps in the Play Store that do most of these things, though they’re separate apps, this new app basically gets you a ton of info in a single app.

This application does offer a really clean UI, which users have come to expect lately. Now, once you fire up this app, you will get a brief weather summary at the top of the display, while the main part of your screen is reserved for news. Yahoo will show you the news that it thinks are most relevant for you, and the more you use the app, the more relevant info will be, as the app will learn along the way. You also have access to Yahoo Mail from this application, and you can even get coupons from local restaurants and stores in this applications, though your location needs to be enabled, and the app needs to have access to it, of course. Yahoo Finance will keep you up to date when it comes to stocks data and what not, while you can also check out your daily horoscope using this application.

Yahoo’s newest app is actually quite similar to the ‘Google’ app, but if you’re looking for a change, or a slightly different approach / design, well, testing out this app may be an option for you, especially if you’re using Yahoo Mail and other Yahoo services. This app is brand new, and after 11 reviews, it’s holding a 4.2-star rating in the Play Store. If you’re interested in checking out the app, a download link is included down below, though do keep in mind that the app doesn't seem to be available in all countries at this point.
