Rugged OUKITEL WP2 Handset Now Up For Pre-Order At $219.99

The OUKITEL WP2 is now available for pre-order, OUKITEL has announced. This is the company’s all-new rugged handset which comes with a huge battery, and in order to launch the device, OUKITEL partnered up with GearBest, a China-based reseller. The OUKITEL WP2 is now available for pre-order from GearBest for $219.99, and the device is available in Black and Black with Gold color variants. After the pre-order period ends (it will last until September 30), the phone’s price tag will jump up to $269.99, which is its regular retail price, so if you’re interested in the phone, it would be wise to get it during the presale period.

The OUKITEL WP2 does look like a rugged phone, it definitely looks like it can take a hit. The company showed off how durable the OUKITEL WP2 is in a recent torture test video, in which the phone got ran over by a car, amongst other things. The OUKITEL WP2 sports two cameras on the back, while its bezels are quite thick, which is not all that surprising considering this is a rugged phone. The device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while it comes with a huge 10,000mAh battery on the inside. That battery is not removable, while the device supports 9V/2A fast charging. A 6-inch 18:9 display is included here as well, while Corning’s Gorilla Glass protest that display.

16 and 8-megapixel cameras can be found on the back of this phone, while you will find an 8-megapixel camera on the front side of the device. MediaTek’s MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor fuels this phone, while the phone includes 4GB of RAM. Face unlock feature is available here as well, while the phone comes with an NFC chip as well. On top of everything, the OUKITEL WP2 also has two SIM card slots, which was to be expected. If you’re interested in the device, the purchase link is included down below.
