Amazon has dropped its latest Fire TV product, the Fire TV Cube, down to just $79.99. That is taking $40 off of its regular price, and brings it down to its all-time lowest price – beating its previous low by $10. The Fire TV Cube is typically priced at $119, so this is a really good price, being nearly a third off.
The Amazon Fire TV Cube is essentially a Fire TV set-top box and an Echo hybrid. It's a cube, as you might expect from the name, which allows you to still stream all of your favorite content through Fire TV apps. And all of the big names are here, that includes Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV and many more. But that's really not the selling point here. The Fire TV Cube also has hands-free Alexa included, which can actually control your TV even when it is off. So you could say something like "Alexa, turn on the TV" or tell her to adjust the volume. Before, with Fire TV, you could use Alexa to find something to watch, or open an app, but with the Fire TV Cube, it's being taken a step further. If you are in the Alexa ecosystem already, then the Fire TV Cube is definitely a good one to pick up, especially at 33-percent off.
This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
