MetroPCS has a new smartphone that joined its lineup today in the Moto E5 Plus. This smartphone is a low-end smartphone, but it does offer a fairly large battery, and a great build. Which makes it a pretty popular smartphone. MetroPCS is selling it for $209, but if you switch to the carrier (and port in your existing number), you can get it for free. That is actually not all that common among prepaid carriers, seeing as you can get the free phone and then leave the carrier next month. But this is an incentive to get more users to switch over to MetroPCS.
The Moto E5 Plus sports a 6-inch HD+ display - that's 1440x720 resolution. There is a Snapdragon 425 chipset inside, along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a micro SD card slot for expanding storage. There is also a single 12-megapixel sensor on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. This is all powered by a massive 5000mAh capacity battery. Which MetroPCS and Motorola say will last about a day and a half. But realistically, it should last a lot longer than that, given the low-resolution display and slower processor. That makes this a really great smartphone to pick up if you are one that only uses their phone for browsing the web, making phone calls and sending texts. Of course, you can do some gaming on this phone, but don't expect any intense gaming here.
MetroPCS is unfortunately only selling this in store, and not online. So you will need to head to your local MetroPCS store to pick up the Moto E5 Plus. It's a really great smartphone for this price, especially if you are switching over to MetroPCS. There are plans that are as low as $30 per month for two lines, which provide 2GB of data per line. MetroPCS does also offer unlimited data at $50 per month, per line. Which is also a really great deal.
