DoorDash is offering up a new subscription, beginning today. It's called DashPass, and it allows you to save money on delivery costs for ordering food through DoorDash. It essentially gives you unlimited deliveries for $0, as long as the order is above $15. DoorDash has been piloting this program for a few months, and found that users were saving over $20 per month, on top of the subscription fee here. That means that this is going to prove very popular for those that do order from DoorDash quite often.
For those that do want to sign up for DashPass, all you need to do is open the DoorDash app. There will be a banner at the top of the home screen that's all about DashPass. You can sign up by hitting that banner. It's going to cost you $9.99 per month, and DoorDash will allow you to cancel anytime. After you have signed up, you can look for the checkmark and find the restaurants that are available on DashPass. Not all restaurants will be available on DashPass, but the majority of them will be. Once you're signed up, you can start receiving unlimited deliveries without any delivery fees on orders of $15 or more.
DoorDash is also announcing another feature today, and it's one that GrubHub has had for quite some time now. It's the ability to pick up your order yourself. This essentially allows you to order online from any of your favorite restaurants that may not have a website that is capable of taking orders, and pick up your order yourself. It seems like a pretty simple feature to have here, but DoorDash hasn't had it, until now. These two new features are available in the DoorDash app now, however, you may need to download the app to get started with either of them.
