Vivo has just announced that its NEX 'bezel-less' flagship is going to launch in a number of markets by the end of this month. The Vivo NEX was originally announced in China not long ago, and the device was expected to reach markets outside of China at some point, but we had no idea when, nor in which markets will Vivo launch it. Well, the company has just confirmed that the Vivo NEX will launch in Russia, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan before the end of the month.
The company did not say how much will the device cost in all those countries, nor did it reveal exact launch dates, so we'll just have to wait and see. That being said, it remains to be seen if the device will reach Europe or the US, as Vivo did not really share any info regarding that either. Having said that, the Vivo NEX was announced as a phone with one of the highest screen-to-body ratios out there, only the OPPO Find X beats it at the moment. The Vivo NEX comes with a 91.24-percent screen-to-body ratio, mainly due to its slide-out camera (also known as 'elevating camera'), as the company was able to trim down its bezels even further thanks to that. Unlike the OPPO Find X's camera setup, only the front-facing camera on the Vivo NEX is hidden away on the inside of the phone, and it's activated after you hit the camera app, and switch to the front-facing view in within the app.
Vivo actually introduced two versions of the Vivo NEX, the flagship Vivo NEX S, and the mid-range Vivo NEX A. Those two devices look the same, but their internals are a bit different. The Vivo NEX S is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. The Vivo NEX A, on the other hand, comes with the Snapdragon 710 64-bit octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both phones feature 6.59-inch displays, and those displays are actually identical in every way, both include fullHD+ (2316 x 1080) Super AMOLED panels.
