Sony has announced another smartphone today, in the Xperia XA2 Plus, which is a larger version of its popular Xperia XA2 smartphone. This one does sport a 18:9 aspect ratio display, and also has Sony's high-resolution audio included here. It's the first smartphone in its range that has Sony's high-res audio technology included, this means that you're going to get some great audio quality out of the speaker on this one, as well as the headphone jack – especially if you have a pair of Sony headphones.
The Xperia XA2 Plus has a 6-inch full HD+ display here, with a Snapdragon 630 chipset powering the device. Sony is selling this with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is still a micro SD card slot available for expanding storage here, as expected. There is a 23-megapixel camera on the back with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and both of which support shooting in 4K. Now there is also a 3580mAh capacity battery inside, which when combined with Sony's STAMINA software, it should last you all day long. However, Sony has also included Quick Charge 3.0 support here for charging up quickly when on the go. Which is a nice addition. Finally, it is running on Android 8.0 Oreo with Sony's latest version of its skin – which is pretty similar to stock Android these days.
Sony is going to be selling the Xperia XA2 Plus beginning in late August, and it'll be available in four colors: Silver, Black, Gold and Green. Sony has not yet announced pricing for the Xperia XA2 Plus, but it is expected to be priced around $400, as that was the price of the Xperia XA1 Plus last year. This is looking to be a pretty good mid-range device from Sony, although there is still no word on when it'll be available in the US, or if it will be available in the US. Sony is also selling a new leather case for the Xperia XA2 Plus here. It's a "stand" case, so you can put the Xperia XA2 Plus in landscape mode and play your favorite TV shows and such while on the go. Sony is selling this in black and silver, but there is no pricing announced for this case either.
