Samsung & Deezer Partner For Hi-Fi Audio On Speakers

Samsung has announced a new partnership with high-quality audio streaming provider Deezer which will bring the service to the former company's soundbars and wireless speakers. Specifically, those are the Samsung Wireless Audio 360 soundbars and speakers and the offer is good for a free 6-month subscription to Deezer Premium and Deezer HiFi. A full list of the compatible 35 speakers is available at the signup page and products simply need to be registered in order to get in on the offer before January 21 of next year. However, the deal doesn't seem to be without caveats. For the time being, this promotion seems to only be available for users in the U.K. with the appropriate registration form only showing on that version of Samsung's website. A maximum of two promotional codes can be applied per Deezer account, which will be required to complete the offer. Once the subscription ends, users will need to cancel or the subscription will be renewed at either £9.99 per month for the Premium subscription or at £19.99 per month for Deezer HiFi.

As to what Deezer's services bring, the less expensive Deezer Premium delivers add-free unlimited listening with offline availability for user's playlists or albums. Deezer HiFi sets the bar substantially higher with audio streaming in a 16-Bit/44.1 kHz lossless FLAC format. There are more than 36 million hi-fidelity tracks available and those can be organized into a "smart" soundtrack with the higher cost service. That includes a user's favorite songs as well as intelligently chosen recommendations that match with preferences and listening history. Deezer HiFi also incorporates the features from Deezer Premium so users don't necessarily need a connection to play their favorite tunes and won't have to wait for advertisements to finish in between tracks.

The partnership is part of Samsung's mission to ensure that its speakers offer the best quality sound available, according to the company's VP of AV Marketing, Taeho Park. Conversely, the deal will be a great opportunity for Deezer to reach a wider audience via hardware that is capable of delivering on its goal to provide better sounding audio for users. Moreover, the promotional subscriptions aren't limited to Samsung's speakers. So users who sign up for the deal will be able to take advantage of the improved listening experience on their phones or other connected devices that support the service as well.
