New LG V40 ThinQ Concept Is Almost Completely Bezel-Free

Back in February, the ‘Science and Knowledge’ YouTube channel released its first LG V40 ThinQ concept design, and now that very same channel released a new V40 ThinQ concept design, which differs from the original one quite a bit. The first design was quite similar to the LG V30 and V30 ThinQ, while this new design comes without a ‘chin’, but it does have a noticeable bezel above the display, even though that bezel is quite thin.

If you take a look at the provided video down below, you will be able to see the LG V40 ThinQ concept design, and as you can see, the device is made out of metal and glass, while its display features rounded corners. The power / lock key is included on the back of the phone and it doubles as a fingerprint scanner, the volume up and down buttons are on the left, while a SIM card slot is accessible from the right. A Type-C USB port is included on the bottom of this phone, while you will also notice loudspeaker grills down there as well, and a microphone on the other side of the phone’s back. The device utilizes on-screen buttons, while it features a vertically-aligned dual camera setup on the back, with a dual-LED flash right below those two cameras. Now, in addition to the design itself, the designer also envisioned some specs for this device, so read on if you’re interested.

This concept phone is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance, while it is also MIL-STD-810G compliant. A 6.1-inch QHD+, HDR10-compliant display has been envisioned as well, and the phone comes with a 90.2-percent screen-to-body ratio. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels the device, while in addition to that, it sports 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of expandable storage. 23 and 19-megapixel cameras with OIS and PDAF have been envisioned for the back of this phone, and a 16-megapixel camera for the front side, while a 3.5mm headphone jack sits on the top of the device. Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet, and Raspberry Rose color variants have been shown off in the provided video. The real LG V40 ThinQ will not look like this, this is just a third-party concept design, so keep that in mind.
