Deal: Sony XBR65X850F 65-Inch 4K Smart LED TV For $1498 – July 2018

Amazon has the Sony XBR65X850F 65-inch 4K TV on sale today for $1498. That is $300 off of its regular price, and that also marks the first price drop since the TV was announced back at CES earlier this year. That means that this is indeed the 2018 model, which is good to see.

The Sony XBR65X850F is one of the company's higher-end LED TV sets, so you're getting a higher-end TV here  than you might see from other TV makers like LG or Samsung. This TV from Sony is an Android TV – all of Sony's TV's are actually Android TV-based and have been for a few years now. That means that you'll be able to stream your favorite movies and TV shows using a variety of Android apps including Netflix, Hulu, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Music, Sling TV and so much more. Making it much easier to cut the cord. The included ports here are four HDMI ports, two USB ports, a composite port, component port and an ethernet port. This allows you to go ahead and plug the TV directly into your router for better streaming of 4K content. This is especially important seeing as 4K content is larger, and will need more bandwidth to stream without any buffering at all. This is a great TV to pick up for cord cutters that are looking to get rid of cable for good. And this price won't last long.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $59/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
