Deal: Samsung HMD Odyssey Headset & 2 Controllers $100 Off - Prime Day 2018

Samsung is participating in this year's Prime Day with a wide variety of price cuts, including a hefty discount attached to its HMD Odyssey bundle including the Windows mixed reality headset itself and two wireless controllers. Regularly priced at $499.99, the package can now be purchased for just $399.00, having been treated to a 20-percent price cut. As is the case with most other consumer electronics being sold at promotional prices during Amazon's latest Prime Day, Samsung's HMD Odyssey bundle is likely only to be discounted over the next 36 hours, so those interested in getting into the mixed reality game without breaking the bank don't have a lot of time to jump on this deal.

The headgear comes with built-in AKG earphones for a premium 360-degree audio experience, as well as universal support for all Windows PCs that meets its basic hardware requirements. Microsoft is positioning mixed reality as a major component of its long-term consumer technology plans and with Samsung being among its main backers in its efforts to do so, the HMD Odyssey serves as the perfect entry point into the segment.

Samsung's MR headset hasn't received many major discounts until now and it's presently unclear whether the company's stock will last throughout this year's Prime Day. Refer to the Amazon banner below to check whether the gadget is still available for purchase.
