Deal: Philips Hue Multi-Color Smart Light Bulbs For $36.99 - Prime Day 2018

Amazon is discounting individual Philips Hue multi-color light bulbs for Prime Day, bringing the price down to just $36.99. That actually brings these bulbs down to their all-time lowest price. This makes it a great time to stock up on Philips Hue light bulbs, especially if you are already in the ecosystem.

Philips Hue is an ecosystem of smart lights, which include all sorts of different products, but of course the most popular of the bunch are the A19-sized light bulbs, which is exactly what's on sale today. These bulbs can be used in virtually any lamp or light socket in your home. And it will immediately make your light a smart one. This is going to allow you to control the light with the Philips Hue app that's available on both iOS and Android, as well as use your voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to control the lights in your home. If you aren't already invested in the Philips Hue ecosystem, you're going to need to pick up the Philips Hue Bridge, and that's because these bulbs cannot connect to your WiFi network by themselves, they need the Bridge to do so. So you'll want to pick up either the bridge or the starter kit, before grabbing these individual bulbs. It's definitely worth it, seeing as Philips Hue bulbs are some of the most reliable bulbs out there.

This is part of Amazon's Prime Day, which is ongoing now through midnight PST on July 17. However, you can only take advantage of this deal if you are a Prime member, so if you are not a member of Amazon Prime, you're going to want to sign up for Amazon Prime. Luckily, Amazon does offer up a free 30-day trial, which you can use for Prime Day and then cancel within a month and not pay a thing but take advantage of all of the deals on Amazon Prime Day, which is pretty neat.
