BLUBOO has just announced that it's preparing to launch a new smartphone, the BLUBOO S2, which was actually teased earlier this year. In addition to that, the company also released several images of the device, and a teaser video as well. BLUBOO claims that the S2 will feature a 91.16-percent screen-to-body ratio, and judging by the materials that the company sent our way, the device will also come with a flip-up front-facing camera
Both the Vivo NEX and OPPO Find X have unusual camera mechanisms, the Vivo NEX comes with a slide-out front-facing camera, while all cameras are hidden in the OPPO Find X's case, and a motorized mechanism reveals them when necessary. The Vivo NEX and OPPO Find X are the two smartphones with the highest screen-to-body ratio around, 91.24-percent and 93.8-percent, respectively, so the BLUBOO S2 will come close to the Vivo NEX in that regard. BLUBOO has announced that two color variants of the BLUBOO S2 will become available, Black and White, while the phone's frame will be made out of metal. BLUBOO also says that the phone's back will be made out of a "ceramic-like material", though that's all the company said. A Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom of the device, and fast charging will be supported.
The BLUBOO S2 will sport a 6-inch display, and it will utilize on-screen buttons. A 21-megapixel rotating camera will be a part of this package, and it will be used as both the phone's front and rear-facing camera. When it's holstered, the camera sits on the back of the phone, but as soon as you opt to take a selfie, it will pop up, and rotate to become a front-facing camera. BLUBOO says that the S2's camera can be rotated 100,000 times without a problem, and the company also said that the phone will become available in the near future.
